After many years of frustration with the factory-fitted infrared remote control, we decided to implement an alternative system: A radio remote control that is connected to the existing system. The radio remote control itself is well proven equipment. We have developed a cable harness that is connected directly to the pump. This makes the system 100% retrofittable.
This Kit is suitable for vacuum systems with pumps A2028000048 or A2028000148 (see attached picture #2).
In addition to the control module and the wiring harness, you will also receive two radio transmitters and two matching key blanks.
Important: If your vehicle is equipped with an immobilizer, this must first be 'disarmed' with the IR radio key and then converted to the radio remote control. The immobilizer is not reactivated via our radio remote control. If you want to disable it completely, you can find information on this topic on various American websites under 'disable alarm' or 'disable immobilizer'.
