M119 engines are equipped with a secondary air pump/ smog pump. This blows air in the combustion chamber when the engine is cold to accelerate temperature rise of the exhaust gases.
These pumps or their magnetic clutches break very often. Replacement is extremely expensive.
With our conversion kit the pump can be completely removed. If this kit is installed, the original belt length can be used.
This kit fits the following motors:
- M119.970
- M119.971
- M119.972
- M119.974
- M119.975
- with 8-ribbed straps
Attention: not suitable for M119.960, M119.980, M119.981, M119.982, M119.985
