The rear shock absorber mount of the G-wagon models W460, W461 and W463 is designed with an upper and lower 'shell' which forms a cavity in front of the carrier tube. Dirt and moisture in this cavity continuously leads to heavy corrosion.
A 'Heavy Duty / Military' mount is offered ex works. This is significantly stronger and designed without cavities. We took the geometry off the original mount and designed a cavity-free mount which mimiks the military version. Our mount is made of 5 mm steel and replace the originnal mount 1:1.
important notice: The mount is sold without any paint. After welding, rust protection must eb applied using chassis paint or similar.
