In the original Mercedes S123, the spare wheel cover is held in place by a rubber band. This becomes porous over time and tears off. The retaining strap is no longer available from the factory.
We have had this retaining strap reproduced by a saddler in double-layer, grained, black imitation leather. The grain of the imitation leather is almost identical to that of the original rubber strap.
This not only gives your T-model a functional repair. This retaining strap also looks just as good as the original.
