The hood insulation becomes hard over the years and disintegrates. The old insulation must then be removed and a new one glued on.
The insulation mat we offer is suitable for the Mercedes W124 Mopf 2 and has NO aluminum lamination. It suits very well in the E420 and E500.
Our insulating mat consists of approx. 14 mm thick foam with a structured textile lamination. This design comes very close to the design of the original factory insulation.
